  •    General Care Information

    Plan Of Care

Once you or your loved one has been admitted to Next Generation Home Care as our client, our Registered Nurse will schedule an appointment with the client and family members to make sure our customized care plan best fits your needs. We are here for you and to help you in any way possible. At this time, our nurse will gather personal and medical information and the client will assist the nurse in helping create the weekly Plan of Care such as: planning meals, bathing, laundry, change of linens, and transportation. This information is kept in a binder and placed in the client’s home.

    Daily Care Notes

Our Next Generation caregivers keep detailed notes of their visits with you or your loved one for family caregivers and medical emergencies. We also have a daily log sheet that shows the duties and activities that are done with your caregiver to make sure excellent care is provided.

Keeping track of prescriptions is also a challenge for many people. Medication reminders given by a Next Generation caregiver can prevent our clients from forgetting to take their medication or overdosing, both of which leads to more serious health concerns. Each day, the caregiver will look at the care plan to determine her duties for the day.

In the event there is a sudden change in your loved ones health condition, we will alert the emergency contact immediately.

    Care Visits

We are dedicated to being involved in the care of you or your loved one. We are truly committed to improve the lives of our clients and their families.

We conduct regular care calls and visits to ensure that you or your loved one is satisfied with the level of care you are receiving and your needs are being met.

For reliable care, call our office at 813-319-5643 about a customized plan for your loved one.

The Cost Of Homecare

One of the greatest challenges facing seniors and their families today is how to pay for in-home care. We are here to answer any of your questions and to help in any way possible.

Most often, seniors and their families are forced to use their savings and assets to pay for long-term in-home care due to the fact many seniors cannot afford long-term care insurance. Paying out of your own pocket allows the recipient of care to choose the form and setting that they prefer and the cost of care will depend on the amount of care the senior requires. What will it cost you? It may not be as expensive as you think.

The Average Cost Of Care

Depending on where you live and the amount of care you will need, the cost of non-medical home care will vary. Once you determine the hours of care you or your loved one will need per week, please call us at 813-319-5643 for a free assessment.

According to a recent care survey, home care costs less than other options such as adult day care, assisted living, and skilled nursing.

Over the past 12 years, the Genworth survey uncovered several trends in the long-term care services landscape. Not surprisingly, the cost of all types of care has steadily risen over the years — from homemaker services to nursing home care. However, the cost of care provided in people’s homes has not risen by the same degree as care provided in facilities. Research shows that being able to stay at home is very important to those that are aging and may require some type of care.

The national average cost of home care per hour ranges between only $10 to $36. The report also shows that the cost of home care services only increased by 2% during the past five years.

The average resident at an assisted living community pays approximately $4,000 per month. Nursing homes can cost up to $275 per day. In the past five years, the costs for assisted living and skilled nursing have risen by 3.5%.
